I really care for clarity of the speakers, as many low-cost ($20~$80 avg price) speakers lack clarity with dirty booming bass. This is very disturbing when listening to quiet ballads or classics. My playlist is generally mixed between ballads/house with some hip hop and jazz. Classics are just for those intense mornings with lots of workload or when I'm stressed. Hardware compatibility for mac. I had lots of choices during the 6 years. Tried mid-upscale 2.0 systems, which I never liked due to lack of bass.

These are also attractive, but you can see that in the pic. Wish they didn't all have that flower shape or else I'd get my husband a set to replace his current system. Sub Woofer is a lot bigger than you think it is, but still has a really small foot print. Speakers have nice, long cloth-wrapped cords. I hate stupid rubberized cords that seem to grow funk and dust and crap and just snake all over the place. No cords would be best but these do the job. As for people having issues with the volume - try this.

I could not be happier with the set. I have been playing music off my laptop and iPod since receiving it.

The striking design features a half-ball sized shiny subwoofer that could be mistaken for a mushroom; while the satellites feature a flower petal design with wires stuck to the back of the sub. If we didn't know any better, we'd have suspected the satellites to start moving and shoot poison spores at people -- and it doesn't help that we got our Spyro's in pink/magenta.

JBL's popular brand of uniquely designed speakers and audio equipment has been around for a while -- and we've definitely seen their designs have at times, gotten somewhat out-of-this-world. That whole mantra looks to be quite strong with the JBL Spyro speakers we have here. They're a 2.1 powered sub & satellites system that promises to deliver some crisp, strong audio while still calling the attention of passing UFOs. Attention grabbing design aside, the speakers can give you up to 24 watts of power from the sub and 6 from each satellite -- for a total of 36 Watts. You can grab one of these for the price of about PHP 5,000, (probably lower with street prices) and you can peep our unboxing video -- complete with a certain niggle about the controls right here.
