It's probably the reason that I found the Samsung 'Internet Connected' TV's to be the best of the bunch. Now I have to decide which one to bring home and play with. Also from what I have found a Samsung/MeeGo Internet Connected Smart TV HDTV's should be compatible with a DLNA/UPnP Media server. I should be able to create one of these locally out of an old computer or put it on my central server.

All you need to do is to look at all the posts about 'it won't play my files on DLNA' and other sources and you are quick to discover that the decoding in HDTV is limited to not many ecodings. I know it'd be better and easier, but my computer is quite far away from the TV and an HDMI cable of that length would be way too expensive. I'd rather find a way to make it work with the existing VGA cable.
